Ilocos Norte in Northern Philippines is one of the dreamiest places to enjoy wild, untamed and rugged beauty of nature. From sweeping vistas overlooking the Babuyan Chanel to sand dunes and stunning rock formations, this region has a lot to offer the intrepid local traveller. More than the scenery, I also enjoyed the local culinary staples like bagnet, Vigan empanada and of course the skinless Vigan longganisa (local sausage) which is an interesting contrast to the caramelized chorizo in Southern Philippines.
My favorite spots in this part of the country would have to be the Bangui windmills, the long stretch of Patapat Viaduct and of course the unspoiled beauty of Pagudpud Beach where we savored the freshest catch of the day cooked by the locals while enjoying warm, salty breezes from the open sea.
Will definitely come back one day to enjoy more of Pagudpud Beach!

Just dropped by to say hello! Hope everyone's doing A-ok. Things have been very sluggish in the crafts department lately but I've managed to make some cute handmade plushies--all cat inspired.
Have a happy June!
